Are You A Travel Agent?

We are seeking  an experienced Travel Advisor looking to work with a host agency, from home and manage their own business! Take full control of your clients, choose your suppliers and work with an exciting, professional team.

As a Travel Advisor for My Way Holiday  you will be responsible for providing exceptional travel services. In addition, you will ensure your clients records and files are consistently up to date and maintained and provide regular follow up with clients.  Supplement your income with business administrative duties that will be assigned based on your abilities and experience.  Note, there are no guarantees of hours.

We do not provide customer leads, travel consultants are expected to develop and grow their own individual business with the support of the host agency. We will provide marketing support and help with business development.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of Travel Agency experience is required
  • TICO certification completion
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Available to commit at least 8-10 hours per work on the business
  • Post-secondary education in Travel and Tourism, or related field is a strong asset

Responsibilities – Travel Consultant duties

  • Generate revenue: develop your own sales goals with the assistance of your Associate and host agency
  • Sell: Match client needs to products; make recommendations; overcome objections, close the sale!
  • Work as a team player in a web-based environment
  • Follow up on existing and past enquiries to foster client relationships
  • Sell a full range of products and destinations (cruise, air, package and FIT), including preferred suppliers, collection of professional fees and the selling of insurances
  • Prepare complex itineraries with a mix of products
  • Self-promote and build a client base via social media and customer relationship development
  • Participate in on-going training and professional development
  • Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers, with an emphasis on building long-term relationships with new and existing customers

Responsibilities – Business Administrator Duties

  • Assist with administrative duties such as web travel research, blogs, social media updates
  • Create marketing flyers and coordinate with suppliers as needed

Compensation is a commission rate of 60%.

There will be opportunities to work administrative hours if the candidate has the following skills:

  • Web design / blogging experience
  • Marketing and Design
  • Writing and social media skills

Compensation for business admin work will be paid at $20/hr
