We will be boarding the Harmony of the Seas in just a few days and will be sharing lots of information about the ship and everything that Royal Caribbean has to offer. Like many of you, much of the excitement leading up to a vacation is research and planning and to help prepare for this cruise we’ve been pouring over deck plans and watching videos to ensure that we maximize our time on board and experience as much of this amazing ship as possible. Take a look at what we’ve found…
The Harmony of the Seas is the SECOND largest ship at sea (now that her big sister, Symphony of the Seas eclipsed her this past November). We had a chance to tour her at the end of the year and we were so impressed that we booked as soon as we got home!
Key Features of Harmony of the Seas
- At 362m long, she holds more than 8,000 passengers and crew and is higher than a 25-storey building. If you took the Eiffel Tour and laid the monument on the ground the Harmony of the Seas would be longer!
- The ship, like others within the Oasis Class, is divided into seven neighbourhoods which include the Boardwalk and Central Park. Unlike the Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, Harmony has a large dry slide that drops you 100 feet, over 10 storeys from Deck 16 to deck six (the Ultimate Abyss) and has
ultipleswimming pools and water slides (aptly named The Perfect Storm).
- Central Park – a favourite of many who sail on the Oasis Class ships – is a living, breathing park which features over 10,000 plans, vines and trees – some over 20 feet high.
- The Flow Rider has become an iconic symbol for many Royal Caribbean ships. Harmony of the Seas features not one, but two and even has dedicated surf lessons for those who really want to work on their skills!
We can’t wait to get on board and share more of this amazing ship… hopefully we can inspire you to look into all the ships and itineraries that Royal Caribbean offers.
