Time magazine recently named Disney’s Pandora: The World of Avatar to their list of the world’s greatest places in 2018. It’s not hard to see why – James Cameron’s Avatar is a perfect fit for the magic of Walt Disney World. It’s underlying message of conservation mirrors the attractions at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The World of Avatar provides “eco-tourists” the opportunity to join Alpha Centauri Expeditions (ACE) for an unforgettable experience to view floating mountains, a bio-luminescent forest, winged mountain banshees and more!
When inside Pandora: The World of Avatar, guests are completely immersed in the world with sights, sounds and even smells with two epic attractions:
The flagship attraction is Flight of Passage – a ride (if you can even call it that) where you sit atop of a flying banshee while you wear a helmet allowing you to see the world of Avatar in 3D, giving you the illusion of flying. You can even feel the banshee breathing between you legs – an absolutely incredible virtual reality experience.
After experiencing Flight of Passage many guests will want to board the Na’vi River Journey where you can take a more gentle tour of the bio luminescent rain forest in search of the Na’vi Shaman of Songs.
Although these may be the two main attractions, the entire world is open for exploration with shops and restaurants exquisitely themed to make this a true destination to visit in 2018.
